Doggy Day of Summer: 101 Mobility to Hold MDA Fundraiser

101 Mobility to have dog wash, hot dog sale to benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Looking to get a pup washed, eat a hot dog, and support a worthy cause all at the same time? 101 Mobility is holding a “Dog Wash to Benefit the MDA” on Saturday, August 8th at its corporate campus in Wilmington, NC.

The event, which will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will feature dog washing stations (with hypoallergenic shampoo), hot dogs with condiments, sodas/waters, as well as a few doggy treats, all provided by staff and family from 101 Mobility. With a suggested donation of $10, all of the proceeds will directly go to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

"(We) are grateful to the organization for helping us raise needed funds through the upcoming dog wash."

Melissa Sinclair, Executive Director for MDA

Muscular dystrophy is a group of diseases that can cause weakness and loss of muscle mass. The nonprofit Muscular Dystrophy Association seeks to find a cure and treatment options for 43 types of muscular dystrophy, including ALS and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, through the funding of localized research.

“As part of our continuing partnership with 101 Mobility in providing services and resources to over 800 local families living with neuromuscular disease in the Coastal Carolina’s community, we are grateful to the organization for helping us raise needed funds through the upcoming dog wash,” said Melissa Sinclair, Executive Director for the Wilmington MDA office.

“101 Mobility has partnered with the MDA on a number of projects in recent years,” said Joel Brenner, Franchise Specialist with 101 Mobility. “We’re big supporters of the MDA and enjoy the chance to work with the organization and its clients every chance we get.”
